Lübeck stands for marzipan, which is more than simply a confection made of ground almonds, icing sugar and rose-water. Marzipan can be shaped into virtually anything, as many fantastic creations from confectioners prove.

Attractively shaped marzipan is also produced by the confectionery industry, in Lübeck and elsewhere. The machinery required comes from the Hanseatic City on the Trave, too – from Krüger & Salecker Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG.
